Well it has been quite eventful the last few weeks. We beat Montreal and Vancouver in the Nutrilite cup (I’m so happy by the way, I hate losing to those two teams) and we had a nice run of results in the last 6 games not including Chicago. Sure you would like to win them all but it does not always happen that way. The boys are up beat and know we can get another run going. The ship is steady and everyone is on the same page. Playoffs and winning the Canadian championship is what we want and we are capable of doing both.
The Toronto weather is picking up and I can’t wait to play one home game without the rain (I’m sure that the fans feel the same!). The only problem is that I have a cast on my hand from the Columbus game when I broke my hand and the heat is doing it no good as my wife and son have to plug their noses around me.
We play New England this weekend and I can’t wait to play them. It’s always a good game against NE and we will be ready for them. We have had a good week so far and are well rested.
Special congrats to Paul Peschisolido who was appointed manager of Burton Albion and the first Canadian to manage a team in Europe!
See you all Saturday!
These past fews weeks have been a bit hectic around the club. A coach has left, and a new one has taken over…….and we are at the top of the east!!!!! It’s unfortunate that J.C.’s time as a coach with TFC had to end. He was a great coach who was passionate and had a great deal of respect for the player’s and people around him. I wish J.C. all the best in whatever opportunities arise for him in the future.
Chris Cummins and Nick Dasovic have taken over now and we are all excited because they are young coaches with fresh ideas, and they are eager to do well. The players have not let any of the stresses around them get to them which is amazing. This is great credit to the player’s and as a reward we are sitting at the top of the eastern conference! Hopefully we maintain our status for the rest of the season.
Columbus Crew are in town tomorrow which is always a good rivalry game. It’s one game that we need to win because our record against them has not been too good. If we get the 3 points in tomorrows game it will set us up nicely going into the game against Vancouver on Wednesday. The whole team will be buzzing.
Stay posted. Speak with you soon.
